This has been my favourite perfume for years and I am still looking for substitutes for it. Elegant, classic, powdery, very femenine. Whenever I wore it I felt beautiful, complete, elegant and posh( keep in mind I was wearing this perfume before niche perfumes were in style, so for me this was an equivalent to an amouage nowadays) I’m glad I found a sample for $10 and that I didn’t blind buy a bottle like I had considered doing. It is unique, but it comes off old fashioned and soapy. I’m not really a fan of the violet here either. Smells a little off like it may have turned. Pretty perfume, gives retro makeup vibes, but a little dusty and dated. Also, sillage and longevity aren’t worth discontinued prices. Edit 12/1: Ok, I sampled her for the third time today and now I’m seeing why all the love. Still not the fondest of the opening, but I’m getting the musk, tea, vanilla and woody notes in the dry down. Soft, clean, fresh, a little fruity, a little flowery, a little musky, cozy and comfy. Unique clean girl vibes. Maybe I do need a bottle by Spring or a dupe! Finally got my hands on a vintage edition. This is such a beauty. At first I was like wow there's nothing in my collection that resembles this. I love when that happens. It just doesn't remind me personally of any other fragrance. This is subtle, soft, feminine, classy. It opens up with just a light dose of something berry like which is the raspberry note on the top, and a hint of peach.
