This was my signature fragrance back in 2000/01. I was a sexy, young, gay, androgynous pretty guy - wore lots of Gucci and Prada - and also baggy skater jeans, hoodies and chunky trainers - and rocked this beautiful spicy, warm, fresh fragrance. I still think about it. It’s criminal there is not a close dupe of this - or that Bvlgari has not thought about revisiting it now with the whole Y2K renaissance. BLV is such a beautiful, warm and spicy perfume. I had no idea ginger can smell so good. Yummy! WOW! I bought so many bottles in different sizes since it was launched in 2000. I'd say it's more for daytime. It is 'quietly' sexy and surprisingly very feminine. I just bought a brand new bottle on ebay.....it's very expensive as it's been discontinued.....very sad. J'adore! Immensely nostalgic scent for me, I didn't buy it at the time since it was too popular, half the girls smelled like the bright and recognizable Blu because samples were distributed liberally. I hunted some down on eBay years later once my samples ran out, what I've got left still smells just as good. It doesn't make any sense to me that they'd discontinue an iconic modern scent like this, and frankly I'm hoping for a re-release (no reimaginations! just sell the same thing!) with the Y2K nostalgia boom. I just recently got this and oh boy this is ethereal. I have all the BLV flankers and this is still the best. The Notte ones have that galanga vodka combo which is not for everyone. Its so unisex anyone can rock it. Flax and bergamot notes are the main stars for me. How I wish they put this back on sale. I've been searching for years for something that smells like BLV and have never had any luck, until now! There is a dupe by a company called Dupeon and the perfume is called BVL301. Not expensive for a tester or an actual bottle (UK company but may ship internationally) and I have it on now. Although it has all the same notes, and I've not smelt the perfume for years, I'd definitely say it was a very good match. Tell me why it was withdrawn from the market! It's really rare for so many people to stil...
