Thick and dense blend of tangerine and neroli, in my opinion the most prominent notes, properly enhanced with spicy mate, ginger and mint... invigorating. I have recalled D&G Masculine, another edgy citrus cologne sadly out of production... I just popped my almost empty old bottle and just inmediatly checked Fragrantica to see when this be(a)uty was released: 2013. Why cant we have affordable and brave colognes like that today? Dont you think it is enough of airy crap? Loewe Cala d'Or is just a gorgeous citrus fragrance, and today this is much to say. Cala d'or is a very fresh and invigorating scent.. It's quite unisex as the citruses mixed with the ginger give it that cologne/masculine vibe but the floral accord keeps it from veering totally in that direction. I'm a bit disappointed with the sillage and longevity... but with that price tag, reapplying in hot summer days won't ruin your budget :) As for a summer citrus the Loewe is to a certain extent a sophisticated scent. Opening is a classic ginger - citrus blast - it's a dry, sparkling citrus, not very much of neroli, more like a citrus pulp. Yerba mate vibe winds in the background from the very beginning and it makes the scent stand out from tens of others summer citruses. A couple of hours later, Loewe evolves towards more minty side, remaining dry and energetic. B...
