Eros Flame by Versace is a Woody Spicy fragrance for men. Eros Flame was launched in 2018. The nose behind this fragrance is Olivier Pescheux. Top notes are Mandarin Orange, Madagascar Pepper, Lemon, Chinotto and Rosemary; middle notes are Geranium, Rose and Pepperwood™; base notes are Vanilla, Tonka Bean, Sandalwood, Texas Cedar, Patchouli and Oakmoss. Versace Eros Flame, is a flanker to the original masculine Eros from 2012. While the pillar is an aromatic-fougère, the new scent goes into a totally different direction with citrusy, spicy, woody, and ambery accords, described as "cold and hot, sweet and spicy, light and shadow." The concept is based on an interpretation of passionate love, marketed as a fragrance for a "strong, passionate, self-confident man who is deeply in touch with his emotions." Olivier Pescheux developed the composition as one of contrasts; the head notes are made to be vivacious and fresh with italian citruses, black pepper and rosemary. Pepperwood, geranium and rose facets are in the heart, before a warm base of woods, blended with tonka and vanilla. Probably my favorite designer cologne. Easy to grab, lasts all day, and a perfect office scent. It smells incredible. Versace isn't the most daring, but they consistently put out quality crowd-pleasing bottles. Now this is one beautiful, refreshing and uplifting citrusy scent. Totally unisex. Nothing groundbreaking but still a safe blind buy. Not sure about performance though. Leaving a review so I remember for gifts. Took my partner to try out different scents as he's not super into fragrance and has only ever had diesel only the brave and Lacoste red which are both good but quite generic. He immediately liked eros flame. It's fresh, a bit spicy and more unique without a harsh synthetic opening like his previous fragrances. This surprised me. I’ve smelled this before in store. Wasn’t a fan. My friend was wearing a fragrance one day, and it smelled very nice. To my surprise, It was this. I turned around and bought 200ml. This is a balance of fresh/spicy and sweet. I’d say it’s more fresh than sweet which I found quite surprising. You can wear this day or night year round, more night middle of summer. If you limit the sprays, you could get away with it Summer days though. The versatility is like Sauvage EDP, Ralphs Club NY. I’m not a fan of the original and its flankers only because the mint and apple note too my nose smells sour and not fresh as the majority interpret it. This is more my speed.
