I sometimes smell just the atomizer which has the lingering scent of the tops notes, because its very nice. Drydown is fine, unless when i smell closely and there's this powdery, cloying scent which gives me a headache. I can see how it can be cloying if over-applied; I stick to a spritz on one arm or leg. Although I have to say, as lovely the notes are, the DNA of this perfume is not new at all. When I first smelled this, I knew I have smelled this kind of scent on many women around me, so if this is a concern, please try it once before you buy it. Overall a good scent, I wouldn't call it "comforting", its sweet and citrusy opening is my favourite, good for professional/formal occasions, stick to 1-2 spritz because this can become cloying if over-applied and stays long for an EDT. Possibly the most nostalgic perfume for me. I used a whole bottle when it was given as a gift back in the early 2000s. I remember having the mini too, wish I still did. Just bought a bottle and I think it’s gonna be my signature again. Maybe the signature of my life? We shall see lol 🤗 I smell pear, lemongrass and a little hint of lime. And then it just stays at green almonds and lemongrass for hours after that, at least on my skin. It’s very soapy and I would’ve never guessed there was vanilla in this. I blind bought a 30ml bottle which made me a little nervous. I do believe you shouldn’t judge a perfume by one note but majority of almond dominant perfumes are pretty disgusting to me. Tonka, coumarin and almond are very cloying, play doughy to me so I got really confused smelling this. But it’s fresh, shampoo-y and clean! Burberry scents have been a let down for me, with the exception of three: Burberry London—For Men (because it gives me awesome Christmas vibes, that’s why!), Burberry Goddess and Burberry Brit (both edp and edt).
