I remember smelling plum incense as a child and thinking it was odd. I had a Crabtree & Evelyn glycerin soap that my aunt gave me and it definitely has that vibe too. I guess plum was a note of the 80’s? Remember, as children, this was a time when we loved scented stickers, erasers, markers(what were they thinking!?), also strawberry shortcake dolls… I say: “Respect”- to those who have a history with it and still love it today. I can agree it’s very memorable and is a veracious big hair scent. Scents are completely subjective, and some things are best remembered in the past. For me, unfortunately, there are memories of potpourri plug-ins in dingy consignment shops and “imposter” aerosol body spray perfumes from the drug store associated with this scent. And it’s all in an effort to cover cigarette smoke. I have a vintage bottle of the Espirit De Parfum from my mom and was given a small one of my own about 10 years ago. This is absolutely heavenly! It has a rich dark full bodied plummy smell along with cinnamon/clove, tuberose and honey. It evokes a feeling of strength, beauty, sultriness and is absolutely captivating! This is truly a 10/10! I wear this on very special occasions. It lasts a long time on me 12+ hours and is just such a rich scent but doesn't give me a headache. It is completely enchanting!
