I'm so happy I bought several bottles way back when it came out, I am still using my first bottle as it's so strong I only need to dot lightly. I decant it in a 10ml stainless steel ball glass roller. I think I have enough for the rest of my live and some! This is everything I love in a winter perfume, close to the body and so sensual, nothing compares. I also have the newer EDP, and vintage too, but the Elixir is what heaven must smells like. In love! I am a very dedicated devotee of this scent. If anyone has one or two HP Elixir's and is willing to sell - PM me. I'll make it well worth your while. I have to say this one is better more spicy and more depth. It does not last on me though. I wish it did. The dry down is really pretty! But they are very very similar. This one has sharper notes but only by a little. Thick, rich, velvety and extremely potent/long lasting. I was lucky enough to get a 30ml bottle with the new pump (not the atomizer) on ebay and I can say that the newer version was not reformulated (if it was, it's so slight it is undetectable to me, and I am a HP fanatic). There are also none of the leaking/evaporation problems with this bottle. Anyway, this is very, very sweet but not in a sickly way. It is, as I said, extremely rich and potent. Definitely not one to overspray. Truly, it reminds me most of vintage HP edt (the waxy red one) but the play doh aspect seems toned down a bit and I can smell that the licorice has been amped up. Really gorgeous, I love it. scent- 8.5/10 packaging- 9/10 (for newer bottle w/o atomizer) Got it together with the Pure Poison Elixir! What a yummy perfume!!! It's incredible how tasty and delicious this beauty smells! The licoroice and the almonds are very strongly felt in this one, much more than in the EDT version. The combination with vanilla makes it pretty irresistible! I bought 2 testers and one regular (the only one left..) :( Longevity- 9/10 sillage-9/10 I miss the smell of this fragrance, the shop which sell this fragrance.....mmmmmm also that lady in that shop LOVE this fragrance, so sad Dior discontinued it. Please please Dior bring it back! Oh this is dreamy... It's like a more grown up, deep, sensual version of the EDT. The licorice is ever so light thankfully, and manages to add mystery and darkness without overpowering the 'Hypnotic Poison' character of the fragrance. It is more powerful and longlasting than the EDT,which for some reason comes out quit...
