This is what "old money" smells like. Creamy white floral on a base of dusty moss. Complex & multilayers. Not easy to love for the current fragrance taste but glorious once you get used to it. The scent smells "easier" in cooler weather where the creamy, milky floral comes out more. There's no significant difference in smelling profile between the EDC, EDT and Parfum, the difference is mainly the richness and complexity. The fragrance ages quite well, many vintage bottles still keep their integrity. If you're interested in exploring standard mossy chypre, instead of the high-priced "niche" wannabes, get yourself vintage Miss Dior, it's much much much better. The Originale version (2011) is still very good but doesn't have the wow factor of the vintage. The scent opens feminine leaning but dries down quite masculine. My mum's going to be 82 this month, so this little bottle of vintage Miss Dior is for her. It has all its original old school charm. We could really do with more classy perfumes like this - not old-school neccessarily, but just well-made! This is vintage Miss Dior, the fragrance launched in 1947, not the completely different pink confection sold in Sephora today. Miss Dior is a tweedy green-floral chypre; it reminds me a lot of Ma Griffe, which was a near contemporary by the same perfumer, Jean Carles. They both have the soupy, “mixed” feel of fifties perfumery; greens, flowers, ...
