I have been looking for a new signature scent for many years now. This is it. I'm an attorney, I wear suits most of my life- I wear real, gold jewlery on a daily basis. I try to look as polished as possible for the sake of my clients. I am 34 and have a young family/ small kids. I am happy to think my kids will grow up remembering me by this fragrance. This fragrance is perfect for court, meetings, black tie events and galas. It is perfect for every day and for special occassions. I enjoy Pure Poison & Infinissime for more casual days at home. The main notes I get from this are a big and heady tuberose/ jasmine/ gardenia combination with a strong, ambery musk in the background. I am not detecting any fruit, which prevents this fragrance from turning shampoo-like (which is not a bad thing, btw. I love a good shampoo scent from time to time) This fragrance has a heated warmth to it. It is very strong in the best way. It is boldly and unapologetically floral. It lasts all day and has fantastic performance. It is worth the higher price tag in this market, IMO. The bottle is absolutely beautiful. Most importantly- there's a special energy to this fragrance. You FEEL the power and gorgeousness. The only fragrance that feels even remotely similar to L'or is Blooming Fire by Orebella but that scent is a bit more spicy, and a tad bit less floral with a touch more earthiness. General Notes about Dior: Making MFK the creative Director of Fragrance was a great move, however- Francois Demachey is still my favorite perfumer and needs to stay involved.
