Why must Dior forsake me over and over!! They giveth and they taketh away my all time loves in exchange for versions that do not do justice to their predecessors!! This fragrance is so unique and beautiful! It’s reminds me of a banana on a bowl of rich vanilla bean ice cream in addition to a feminine golden amber. It’s rich and thick and potent!! It reminds me of a Hawaiian fragrance I bought that was locally made when on vacation in my 20s. I searched around everywhere to replace it after it was gone, finally after years I found this as this was the closest thing I came across and perhaps more elegant. To me it’s a unique beauty and I’m so sad its replacement doesn’t even try to keep the same spirit. If you can find a bottle it’s beautiful with a long lasting trail!! Please bring this version BACK. Pretty please 🙏. This has been discontinued for a few years now so most of the people reviewing it recently are most likely reviewing the 2023 version which is far, far more soapy floral. The violet give a ozonic fluffy powdery feeling. While the Lilly of the valley & rose give soap. This one is nectar like florals on top, warm and sweet vanilla & tonka marry the smooth and sunny ylang n the dry down. It’s a far superior fragrance imo. It’s like liquid golden light. I obtained a partial bottle of this perfume. First off stunning bottle. The perfume is VERY strong and long lasting. One spray laster all day with a noticable trail. It is a complex perfume that starts off with a flowery freshness and settles into a dense vanillery and powdery cloud. The flowers fade into the background. I find it quite mature and a bit almost overpoweringly strong. Not my cup of tea. This fragrance is the one that really showed me i have a weird sense of smell, that and Valentino Born in Roma. Both of them but this one ESPECIALLY just smell like a box of tidy cats litter. Dirty tidy cats litter, but the mildly scented kind. Gives me PTSD to living with my old roo...
