I have never experienced a perfume where the differences between the top notes and base notes were so stark. This perfume no doubt starts off sharp, citrusy and green thanks to the petitgrain and bergamot as well as the mandarin orange. After about 2 hours the peony starts to subtly show through with its sheer rose like qualities. An hour later the sweeter notes really start to emerge thanks to the almond and honeysuckle and the scent somewhat reminds me of the earlier edition " I heart Christian Dior". In the end the honeysuckle is the real star (no pun intended!) of the show. If you cannot find this then I recommend Fragonards Jasmin Perle de the. They have very similar scent profiles. Flashback to my childhood days where this fragrance was showstopper for me. It was casual, made me outgoing as just to showoff my Dior Star. I liked how it has citrusy scent but also deep down you can detect a hint of rose which makes it more blooming and lively. First time posting a review on here. But hands down I love the Dior Star perfume. Being a late millennial (born in 1994) I do like the "cheesie" or "tacky" looking bottle, as it reminds me of the glow in the dark stars my friends use to have in their bedrooms. Compared to what I usually wear from Christian Dior which are Hypnotic Poison edt and Poison Girl edp, the citrus fruity floral of Dior is a welcomed addition to my perfume collection. I'm going to be wearing this the rest of spring and all summer. Also quick question: does anyone else's bottle have eau or toilette scratched out on the bottom of the bottle? Also does anyone's bottle/box not have a batch code? Visually, Dior Star followed the standard adopted by the brand, during some years, for single size fragrances (50ml), such as Diorever, Forever and Ever, Lily, etc. Particularly, I think this is one of the ugliest bottles beside the worst finishing of the brand because the metallic painting peels and the product does not have the same refinement of perfumes launched years before, as Dune (1991), J'adore (1999) or Addict ( 2002) for example. The fragrance is classified as floral-fruity and has top notes of bergamot, mandarin orange, and petitgrain. In the body, notes of peony and honeysuckle were combined, while the base brings musk and almonds. Dior Star is, however, a fragrance with multiple personalities....
