Well I am in heaven having just received my blind buy of this scent. And I had to laugh when I saw the reference to Landman because indeed it was that episode that made me know I had to have it. When Ainsley was told she smelled like gardenias and the beach….that was all I needed to know. Now I’m not sure about the beach specifically. Except that if you’ve been to Hawaii and smelled the gardenias and plumeria trees by the beach front it will definitely take you back. I swear it smells like plumeria is involved. Having owned strong tuberose perfumes I don’t understand why some people smell it alone, or that anyone thinks it’s sour. Maybe it’s just how it reacts to your skin? But I am in love. I will say the citrus creeps in a tiny bit later on, and I wish the beginning and mid could last forever. This was the VERY SPECIFIC perfume mentioned in Landman S02E01 when Ainsley hugs Greta and Greta complains of smelling like Beach and Gardenia's while Ainsley offers to explain to Greta that it's Hermès from Neiman's (Neiman Marcus) and she'll gift a bottle to her in the near future... see https://www.instagram.com/reel/DRLNLZSk5AE/ for reference... I just love the opening sour scent! But I hope it lasts longer, I just can't stop sniffing myself. I used to wear nothing but Bath and Body Works Gardenia, but it was discontinued years ago and it's harder and harder to find now (and increasingly expensive). I love it because while it has the white floral gardenia quality, it also smells green and fresh. It's one of the few scents I cannot stop sniffing when I wear it. This perfume is the closest thing I have ever found to it, and that's sad, because it seems to have also been discontinued :( Fortunately, it's still available online, but my search will continue to find a dupe for my signature scent that is still being made.
