I don't get booze, and I don't get citrus. This is a deep, woodsier version of Eau des Merveilles to my nose, and lovely for taking that general scent profile into colder weather. Something in the opening slightly rubs me the wrong way, but it settles down and sneaks up on you with how lovely its simple composition is. I would say this is more masculine (in traditional perfumery terms) than the Eau or flankers. Despite that, it's actually my most-complimented fragrance from men (and I am a woman, in case that wasn't clear). So clearly women can pull it off. It's sophisticated and distinctive, but easy to like. This is beautiful! Very reminiscent of L’ambre des Merveilles and L’Ombre as well slightly boozy but very smooth.
