It's not terrible 🤔 just very much reminds me of freshly sharpened pencil shavings & high end perfume. Very light on the citrus aspect and not a subtle scent for how bright it is. Smells way better on my skin than it does on fabric. I have only the mini splash version of this so I've never had a chance to smell its full olfactory potential. Glossier You (hamster bedding) & Spicebomb (spicy hamster bedding) are comparable scent profiles and much better in my opinion. Edit: Ok I'm loving it. I have now owned bottles of the original Eau de Merveilles, the Elixir version and this Claire version (it was a sample of Eau Claire that started my love affair with the Merveilles series). I would bathe in this stuff if I could afford it! It's a balance of woods, florals, amber, vanilla... none of these individual accords dominate, they truly all work together to create a lovely, musky, warm, sweet woodsy "your skin but next level" fragrance. Have you ever seen someone and you can just tell they are both educated and wealthy because of their simplicity of dress and their elegant manner? That is the type of person this conjurs up for me.
