The smell is so natural that I would have bought a full bottle in a heartbeat. But the longevity is horrible. My skin is amazing for perfume. Even the weakest EDTs or cologne last and project on my skin all day. Not this one, this is an overpriced citrus water. Gone in 1 minute and zero projection. A pity, it was the perfect orange, with the zest and leaves and flowers. I'm aware that, much like Mugler Cologne, Eau d’Orange Verte is a fragrance of simplicity. This minimalism is a characteristic element of Jean-Claude Ellena's style. However, these perfumes positively radiate with greenery and citrus. They're juicy and distinctly orange, with undeniable cooling properties. I've also read about their similarity to Eau d’Hadrien by Annick Goutal. Currently, I'm not familiar with the composition created by Isabelle Doyen, but if that changes, I'll certainly address the comparison in an appropriate review. Nonetheless, I can wholeheartedly recommend Eau d’Orange Verte to anyone seeking a breath of fresh air in the summer heat (these perfumes are suitable for both women and men). Furthermore, I'd like to remind you that the third and final part of this mini-series is still ahead, featuring a fragrance from the truly top shelf. Are you curious? My rating: Highly recommended! (7/7) This is certainly an interesting scent. The citrus opening, paired with a sharp mint note, leans a bit too reminiscent of Irish Spring soap for my taste. The patchouli comes on a bit too strong for my liking too. This isn’t really a fragrance I’d reach for, but I can appreciate it’s clean and soapy character. I would say it leans more male but women could wear it too I guess. This is a traditionally French, citrus barbershop cologne. Saying that it is ultra masculine is not necessary, if you know anything about fragrances, but the majority of people in fragrantica are just newbies or with low olfactory iq. It smells stunning. A bitter orange with a hint of herbacious notes, zesty and soapy. There's a cooling and refreshing quality to this scent that's almost watery. However it doesn't project and doesn't last.
