Just picked this up upon learning eau de Gentiane Blanche is officially discontinued. Was looking for something inoffensive and clean. This is a lovely bright, carefree, squeaky clean fragrance that reads to me as indomitably positive. The grapefruit note is delicious, and it fades into a sort of smirking, floral shrug as it settles into place with its orange sidekick. Sharp on the opening, dry throughout, Eau de pamplemousse rose is delighted, willing, and unconcerned. If there was a green rose that has a fleeting scent, this is it. As if the petals and leaves have changed their location; the rose is barely there. But interesting experience anyway. Why are people complaining about its longevity? This is an eau de cologne. I personally buy fragrances for their scent, not for their performance. If I happen to like a scent and it lasts, that’s just a bonus. I have never gotten into quibbles about longevity when reviewing fragrances. That said, this is the most fleeting EDT I've ever used. Perhaps I'm anosmic to it after the awesomely refreshing grapefruit opening dissipates. Please accept my apologies, Monsieur Ellena, I have liked every other Hermes fragrance of yours I have encountered. I will continue to love your Bvlgari Eau Parfumee au The Vert during the heat of summer. good simple bright fresh scent with poor longevity. impossible to offend anybody with this a blast of zesty citrus off top, then settles into a fresh rosy scent. Not much i can say about this. It is a nice fragrance. Definitely has grapefruit as the top note lol. Very strong main note. If only it lasts longer than an hour.
