A La Rose by Maison Francis Kurkdjian is a Floral fragrance for women. A La Rose was launched in 2014. The nose behind this fragrance is Francis Kurkdjian. Top notes are Calabrian bergamot, Litchi and Pear; middle notes are Bulgarian Rose, Grasse Rose, Violet and Sweet Pea; base notes are Musk and Cedar. À la rose eau de parfum is a tribute to femininity, a declaration of love translated into a fragrance. A light and sensual fragrance showcasing two exceptional roses: Damascena rose and Centifolia rose. They build on one another to bring you a musky floral perfume which is in turn subtle and exuberant. There are two hundred and fifty freshly bloomed and perfect Centifolia roses in every bottle of this eau de parfum. They play a floral backdrop to soft and sensual honey accents while an essence of one hundred and fifty Damascena roses add to the top notes with their pear and lychee timbre. I typically can’t stand rose heavy fragrances, but for some reason I can’t get enough of this. Top notes are very realistic rose to me, but very creamy and approachable with the other notes. Likely the cedar, violet, and musk keep me drawn to this fragrance. I had a sample of it and almost threw it away, but so thankful I didn’t. It’s a nice, soft daytime scent that sits close to the skin. I work in healthcare and find this work appropriate, and there are very few fragrances I’m willing to wear to work. The only other scent I’ll wear to work is Giardini di Toscana ‘Shabby Chic’ and it’s my most complimented perfume- totally different profile, but also very light and inoffensive. this is a gorgeous simple rose but it’s nothing super interesting so i’m not sure it’s worth the price. this is one of those scents that i probably wouldn’t want to buy for myself but i wouldn’t object to having it. Strong powdery rose. As other reviewer said, smells like magazine perfume stripe. I hated this on the tester, I just couldn't get over how dusty it smelled. Like old books/paper, but not in a nostalgic or cozy library way... More like a magazine perfume sample page that's been sittin...
